FAQs

01. Preschool & Children

What will my child learn?

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written and we strive to bring its stories to life through creative activities and discussions that keep kids engaged. We want every child to love God’s Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives. We know they’ll have fun each week as they learn about who God is through games, activities, small groups, and video teaching.

Will my child make friends?

Absolutely! Our room environments and lessons are designed to help your child grow with kids in their same age group. We’re passionate about supporting them in each stage of life, so we provide KidZone options from 1st-6th grade. As kids build relationships with leaders and other children, they gain the support and confidence to grow in their faith. Due to COVID-19, how we navigate KidZone is a little different, but that doesn’t mean your child has to stop learning about Jesus! Check out our online resources for weekly Bible Study, engaging apps, and other tools to help.

How is my child safe and secure?

Staff: Every KidZone volunteer leader is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training from our staff. Additionally, our hallways are monitored by background-checked security during each experience to make sure your child stays safe and secure.

COVID-19: As we begin reopening KidZone, we have thoroughly planned out and strictly abide by regulations to keep your child as safe as possible. Children are socially distanced, have their own supply box they reuse, and classrooms along with supplies are disinfected weekly. To ensure that leaders are best prepared to keep your child safe, we are asking that children be signed up online for Sunday School each week. If you have further questions, please contact us.

Parent Contact: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, you can opt to be sent a text message or share your child’s last name and identification code on the screen in the sanctuary.

Pick Up: Safety is one of our highest priorities. Upon check-in, you will receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you will show the KidZone leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released from their room.

How do I check my child in?

COVID-19: To ensure that leaders are best prepared to keep your child safe, we are asking that children be signed up online for Sunday School each week. If you have further questions, please contact us.
First Visit: COVID-19 has immensely affected how KidZone is navigated. For the most updated information please contact us. Traditionally, you will be welcomed by a KidZone volunteer eager to meet your family and show you how KidZone works. To check your child in, we’ll need some information including a family member’s name, your child’s name and birthday, your address, your phone number, and any special instructions. We’ll be there every step of the way, right up to when you drop your kids off. Please feel free to ask questions.

I have a child with special needs. Is there anything I should know before I take my child to KidZone?

If you have a child with special needs who might need a little extra support to participate in KidsZone, we’d love to partner with you to make their experience amazing! Connect with someone from the Family Ministry Team or contact us.
