There was a supper at Lakeview Baptist Church for Deacons and Wives to begin Bond Drive, November 11, 1958.

They raised $30,000.

On October 10, 1962, Parker Memorial Baptist Church began to help finish the Sanctuary, Baptistery and other Sunday School rooms.  The first full-time Pastor was Rev. Glenn Slye who served from
January 28, 1963 to February 28, 1971.

On October 18, 1964, Golden Springs Baptist Church was
founded with a total of 117 members.
