Center of Hope Recovery Center

"I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29:11

MISSION: Center of Hope is committed to Christ-centered recovery with services that reach the entire community with effective programs that not only combat addiction, but are preventative.

Center of Hope is committed not only to reach out and help bring restoration in the lives of those bound in addiction, but to the families and community as well.

Mission Statement - Rebuilding lives, and restoring hope through Christ-centered recovery.  "Praise be the the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."  2 Corinthians 1:3,4

ABOUT CENTER OF HOPE: Everyday desperate and hurting men and women contact Center of Hope Recovery Center seeking help, looking for an opportunity for renewed hope.  In addition to providing immediate help for the basic needs of life, food, clothing and shelter, we offer long term, Christ-centered addiction recovery.  Providing individuals the opportunity for permanently transformed lives.

Drug and alcohol addiction crosses all economic, social, and racial boundaries.  The men and women caught in its devastating grips are just like you and me, with families and children, hopes and dreams just like ours.  At some point life began to spin out of control for them and they found themselves at rock bottom.  Today, they need the change to change. They need hope.

WHO IS CENTER OF HOPE: Center of Hope Recovery Center provides 12 month, Christ-centered, residential addiction recovery to men and women at no cost.  We are an interdenominational, 501-(c) 3, non-profit ministry and do not receive any state or federal funding.

For over 10 years we have helped hundreds of men and women find renewed hope through the transforming power of Jesus Christ.  We have helped get them into Christ-centered programs throughout the South.  Now we have opened Center of Hope in Anniston where we house, clothe and feed individuals in our New Beginnings Recovery Program.

Through essential programs like counseling, chapel services, addiction recovery classes, relapse prevention, work therapy and continuing education.  Center of Hope provides hurting people with real solutions.

RECOVERY PROGRAM: Center of Hope programs and services provide immediate help, long-term recovery and a chance to reach out to others in need.  Whether a resident is addicted to drugs or alcohol or struggling with other life-dominating sins, our programs meet them at their point of need.  The New Beginnings Recovery Program is a 12 month residential addiction recovery program consisting of:

Men and women interested in entering Center of Hope's New Beginning Recovery Program should call 256-236-9720 for more information.

VISION: Their vision is to tear down the strong holds of addiction permanently transforming lives.  Our purpose is to provide the place, love, example, and instruction to facilitate deliverance through the Word of God.

SUPPORT: Center of hope is on the front lines battling the most dreaded form of poverty - poverty of the spirit.  In Luke 4:18 Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, anointing me to preach the Gospel to the poor."  To share the Good News with those poor in spirit and to give hope to those that think there is no hope in their goal.  They are sharing this Good News, this hope with many daily and need our support to enable them to continue providing Christ-centered recovery to the many individuals who seek their help.

Center of Hope relies on the support of the community in three ways.  First, they ask us to pray for them continually.  Secondly, they ask that we will prayerfully consider giving financially on a regular basis.  Finally, Center of Hope has opened a thrift store to serve the community, provide job skills training for their residents, and to provide funds for the ministry.  When we patronize the thrift store, the proceeds benefit the men and women in Center of Hope's Recovery Program and give them the opportunity to learn valuable job skills.

At their thrift store, they offer merchandises at bargain prices and they welcome all donations.  They accept drop-offs and will also schedule pick-ups for all your clothing, furniture, appliances, vehicles, etc.  A tax-deductible receipt will be given for all donations.
