Alabama Teen Challenge
Alabama Teen Challenge "Adult Restoration and Juvenile Referral Services"
MISSION: Started to specifically change the lives of addicted teenagers in the slums of New York, the mission of Teen Challenge remains to provide a successful faith-based solution to individuals of all ages with life-controlling issues. The mission of Teen Challenge is to help individuals with life-controlling problems have a life-changing experience through the application of Biblical principles, preparing them for service in the local church and community.
Alabama Teen Challenge provides a 12 month, residential Christian discipleship program for adult men and women 18 years of age and older who are struggling with a life controlling addiction. The typical day's schedule includes personal devotions, personal studies, group studies, chapel, chores, an on or off site job, pastoral counseling, and recreational activities. The program is voluntary and is designed to provide a protective, tough love setting for an individual to develop a new foundation for their life through a new relationship with Jesus Christ. There are "easier" programs, however, the easy road has been part of the problem. The faith-based solution to the drug epidemic is just a phone call away. Call Teen Challenge in Oxford, AL at 256-832-1115 to contact the Intake Director, fill out an application, and set-up an interview.
Thousands have come seeking help and have found the Helper. Many others are on waiting lists. Recovery programs hinge upon Biblical principles. Teen Challenge endeavors to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive. Teaching faith in Jesus Christ alters behavior and instills positive values that allow the entire person to heal. This central spiritual dynamic is the foundation on which all aspects of the Teen Challenge program are built. Teen Challenge rests upon one reason for the success: "The Jesus Factor."
Since it opened its doors in 1958, Teen Challenge has been offering "the proven cure for the drug epidemic" and individuals just like you have helped change lives through their financial support. Please prayerfully consider helping them to...MEET THE CHALLENGE.
"...the Teen Challenge program works - it's effective - it's literally changing lives..." President Ronald Reagan
WHY IS TEEN CHALLENGE one of the most effective drug recovery programs in America for individuals of all ages?
Teen Challenge recognizes the need to remove the addict from their environment in order to teach them new attitudes and values based on Biblical principles.
Teen Challenge understand that moral development and spiritual development go hand-in-hand.
Teen Challenge doesn't just talk about drugs and alcohol. They talk about character.
Teen Challenge knows that to be successful, an addict needs to move from a self-centered lifestyle to a Christ-centered lifestyle.
Many of Teen Challenge's staff members have successfully made the journey to recovery. Our staff understands the pathway of destruction that leads to destroyed lives and families.

You've heard it said, "They must 'hit bottom' before they will be ready to get help." Do you have to wait until they hit bottom? Or is there something you can do to help "raise the bottom" so your friend or love one can get help sooner?
"Hitting bottom" means facing reality - hitting a hard painful place - with no where else to go.
Stop rescuing your friend or loved one.
Tell them the truth.
Don't make decisions form them.
Don't stop their pain.
Start early in life.
Get ready for emotional warfare.
Don't try to rush the path to recovery.
"Raise the bottom" for your friend or loved one. Call Alabama Teen Challenge today!
